Fink's Links #25

08/08/08 and here we go again...time for a peep inside the stained hemp bag used to restrain the still twitching heap of harvested chunks of internet that this week couldn't stay still enough to evade my swinging scythe of interest...so without further ado - plunge your hand inside (watch out, some of them still have teeth) and see what comes out first...

An excellent collection of amusing (wrong) exam answers, some of which you will no doubt have seen before...(pics)...

A humbleness inducing collection of macro insect photographs...but I bet they cheated and used an enclosure... ;)

It's nice to see Canadian tax dollars being put to such good use...(Texas *would* have nuked it)...

Another Japanese robot vending machine (coke this time) scaring local school girls...

Pelican eats pigeon in London park (careful if you are ornithophobic (Ys!) - this could cause nightmares)...

A very tall giraffe...(a photoshop, of course, but a striking image)...

The periodic coffee table (nice if you happen to have a spare £4,750 burning a hole in your skyrocket)...

While we are busy imagining we have lots of money to spend (when you wish upon a star...lalala...), how about an Emperor gaming chair...just a cool £20,000...very nice, but I couldn't even afford the space to put it...

Time for some more abandoned places visited by urban explorers equipped with their cameras (like a Russian Brain research facility, complete with samples)? Spooky...love this new fad... ;)

The way of the sheep...after (and before, ultimately) you count them when trying to go to sleep...incredibly dark and fun!

A nice way to stop your brain sub-vocalising - (and thus read with good comprehension extremely quickly, like 300 words a minute quickly)... :0

Enjoy the Shephard Scale (replay the video a few times)...certainly the first audio illusion I have ever seen heard...

And finally take a peep back in time to see Admiral Blandy's celebration cake after finishing what he was doing with Bikini Atoll (hmmm)...

More next week, previous weeks of wonderment can be found here (getting quite a collection now)...!

Stay safe out there! ;)
